What type of Transportation services do you provide?
PRIORITY provides a wide spectrum of transportation services; everything from walk-in ambulatory clients who need a little assistance in their ride to wheelchair and stretcher service. Our transportation service can safely accommodate canes and walkers, personal wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs and scooters. All our climate-controlled vehicles are designed and equipped with your safety and comfort in mind. If you need a mobility aid for your ride, we can also provide a wheelchair for you, during your trip.
Can you accommodate someone who has difficulty sitting for extended periods of time?
PRIORITY’s stretcher service provides a personalized, worry-free ride when you need to lay down for the duration of the trip. Our highly trained employees and state-of-the-art stretchers provide you with a safe and comfortable transfer, from bed to bed.
Can I bring someone with me for my ride?
We can accommodate a family member or healthcare provider to accompany you for your transfer, without charge. Simply let us know if someone will be joining you for your transfer and we will make sure there is room to accommodate them for your trip.
What if I am travelling alone? Will there be someone there to assist me?
We recognize that arranging a transfer can be an intimidating process and that clients may not always have the supports they need to get them where they need to go. We provide highly qualified employees, from the booking dispatchers to the attendants that care for you during your trip. You can rest assured knowing you and your family members will receive excellent care and respect throughout the transfer.
How do I book a transfer?

We will ask for a small amount of information in order to book the transfer and we can have a confirmed booking date and time for you within minutes. Our friendly dispatch team can answer any questions you may have at the time of the booking.
How can I pay for the transfer?
PRIORITY accepts cash or cheque at pick-up and all major credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard. Patient transfers are not currently covered under OHIP. However, our service is eligible for coverage through private insurance plans. Simply contact your private insurance provider to confirm eligibility and, once you have this confirmed, we are happy to assist in arranging the transfer through your provider. PRIORITY works closely with third party payors, such as Public Guardians & Trustees and Veterans Affairs, as a registered provider of the Veterans Independence Program.
